I know what you are thinking. I have seen this stuff before, like me that was true. In fact I have spent untold hours getting confused looking for something credible and saw some of the Rich Jerk’s products a year ago and ignored it thinking it was another one of those sites who sell another one of those products. Only recently I have come back to this after blowing 100k on investing in someone else so called expertize and trusting this guy because he was the expert. To be honest I did not think that I was that dumb! But I really have to ask myself am I? Hind sight is a wonderful thing and easy to look back at something good or bad and make some sort of meaningful comment, but what you and I really need is “Foresight” the uncanny ability to see things before they are!

It is not that I am that dumb, and this may sound a bit paradoxical but did not understand what I was investing my hard earned money into or knew how to validate what was being sold to me. I have come to realize that the only way you can really make money in anything is to “KNOW” what “YOU” are doing. And therein lays another problem, the problem called the learning curve meaning an undefined period of time while you gather knowledge about “HOW TO MAKE MONEY ON LINE” or do whatever it is you want to do.

This is the most frustrating time for anyone including me and honestly still going through it! This is the time of uncertainty of really knowing whether you are going to be a success at whatever you want to be successful at. It is a time where there is certainly a feeling of breaking and we humans are too quick to re3late the “FEELING” of breaking to the unsuccessful events of history.

Here’s my point! Break down and Break through both have the same feelings attached while you are going through the “BREAKING PROCESS”. However and this is a big HOWEVER, the outcomes are far different. Breakdown can be devastating and hard to come back from and will test your resolve enormously. In fact you are likely to learn much more from a breakdown situation than you would from Breaking Through. Break Through brings about the validation of your effort and can reward you handsomely for your output.

Let me just give you the key ingredient for your effort and this is where many fall short only to stumble just before Break Through. The KEY ingredient is “PERSISTENCE” in your effort. If it takes you to watch 10x times the same video tutorial just to get it, then watch it 20x times to become an expert. If it takes you are week of reading to understand the smallest amount of information correctly, then read the same for two weeks until it sinks in. This is my learning experience, really I am not that smart but unlike most I am determined and have learnt t the value of “PERSISTENCE”. .

MAKING MONEY ON LINE is not a get rich quick thing; however when you start to understand a few things everything starts to fall into place. It is a matter of getting your foundational understanding right and then  it just starts to make sense that MAKING MONEY ON LINE is not a case of “IF” or “COULD I” it is a case of “WHEN”. It just does not happen overnight, in fact overnight has been described by some as 10yrs and more the internet is highly competitive in every way and there are a lot of BOGUS deals and dealers.

I could write for hours but what I want you to do is to honestly ask yourself two questions:

1) ARE YOU SERIOUS ABOUT MAKING MONEY ON LINE? 2) ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE?

Because everything nice has a price. I mean face it! Everybody wants all the good stuff but not everybody is prepared to do what they need to do in order for them to have what they know they could and deserve to have!

WE ALL NEED TO LAUGH SOME MORE! In comparison it is relatively inexpensive compared to a lot of business options that I have been looking into. And to be honest and pardon the expression but it “RIPS ME UNDIES MAN!” I think most would have quit at this point and certainly my wife would like me too, but I refuse to shrink back and run with the crowd.

Will you be rich in the next few weeks or maybe months? GOSH even I doubt it, but the bottom line is you could be and I could be if we are prepared to take the time to learn, be patient and ask a lot of questions along the way.

If there is on thing that I have learn t and that is TRAFFIC IS EVERYTHING! If you have no TRAFFIC coming your way you are dead in the water end of story. I have spent the last nine months just learning about how the internet works and SEO and Back Linking and Ad Words and you name it I have just about covered the full spectrum and now have a good general knowledge on all things marketing. Well here I am again further down the learning journey of how to make money on line. So far so good and no huge blow out in costs to get some learning done (under $1,000.00 USD). Learning how to make money on line is simple in principle, however if you are not familiar with the many tasks that you will be required to do and know a lot about, it is a huge learning curve and believe me when I say huge if you are not technically minded.

In saying that, I am now getting more of that “Oh that’s how that works thing going on” and not only that when I am looking at information for the tenth time just to get it, I am finally getting it! I am SMOKING IT NOW BABY!

Well not really smoking it but at least getting my head around how everything fits together thanks to some really great learning packages that I have discovered and going through. I have been through several learning packages or programs that have promised the earth “so to speak” but many fall short in delivering the whole nine yards.  And there are a lot of people out there offering all sorts of help and all for a cost when most information you can get for free, BUT here’s the catch. If you don’t know how to find the “free” information or know where to look, you should look at hooking up to some sort or several learning package / subscriptions for a time to accelerate your learning. My only mistake so far is taking too long to find the right information and then spending time to understand what I was reading. But I guess that comes with learning a whole new industry!

And let’s face it if Affiliate marketing is such a great opportunity and people have been promoting other peoples products  for hundreds of years, I guess there is no rush because this type of promotion / business will always be around, only the method to communicate may change or some varying degree or technical aspect.

Learning how to make money on line by becoming an Affiliate Marketer is in my view low risk financially but high in application. Even when I get really good I suspect that there is a lot of work to be done just to make a reasonable living so don’t be fooled by some sweet talking squeeze page sales pitch which promises to take out he learning curve. The best you can hope for is to shorten your learning period but you will never remove it.

I know without doubt that I am on my way to making money on line through Affiliate marketing and that in terms of a real business opportunity this is the style or business model that I am looking for. I will detail all the pluses in my next blog so stay tuned.

I can tell you that from a non technical background all this IT and Google this and Google that and all sorts of other distractions. My learning experience has to date been huge! and I mean huge! and to be honest (which is what I am about all the time and even to the point of being  accused of being to transparent), but for me it is refreshing when you meet someone else who holds to those ideals!

Well what has happened since I blogged last. Well for a start I found the Rich Jerk stuff and got this blog site from him/them/her who ever!. I was looking for some education packages and I found that RJ (Rich Jerk) had a good video tutorial on how to set up a website with products etc on it. I had no idea what to do so I brought the package paid 1year in advanced to a hosting company and got this website. I started watching the videos and learn’ t a bit about how to set this up. I still have not finished watching all the videos but will get back to it. Even with the videos I still had a lot of questions and no one to talk to about them other than sign up to the real money maker from Rich Jerk where they offer a mentor ship program and probably quiet good I would imagine but for around 5k USD I think not! after being ripped off 100k NZD just recently in a website business that was run by a narcissistic sociopath (found out after!) I am still gun shy to hand over large amounts of money.

Un knowingly one of my brothers was also making some changes to his business direction (insurance and mortgages company 15yrs). My brother Sean has a real aptitude for IT stuff and now we have joint ventured and started our own web development company at www.marketwinners.co.nz and to boot set up a hosting company at www.bigplans.co.nz

So another change in the mix although still staying within the internet for business opportunities.

I found a couple of companies that I think can help newbies and will keep you posted here shortly so feel free to sign up and even make a comment. It would be nice to know that someone is on the same journey and that we are not all experts at what we do. However in saying that I have always had an attitude that if you are in something “GET IN IT” otherwise if you hold to the same ideals as me you would not be true to yourself.

If anything the appeal to develop an affiliate marketing venture has grown and so I have recently brought another learning package that deals more about internet marketing rather than technical and products. I really like this one and think that this would be a must for most beginners but a little more time to spend on this first as I WILL NOT make any recommendations for any products until I understand what they can do and how to apply the knowledge and to whom the product would suit best. No point in buying a Mercedes when you need a tractor is there!

In fact, the tactics the Rich Jerk talks about in the book runs the gammut from affiliate marketing, to wholeselling goods on ebay, to sneaky search engine optimization tactics, to how to protect yourself from scammers and people looking to take advantage of you.

All this combines to be a KILLER resource for beginning marketers.

Other than the fact that the Rich Jerk can seem condecending and pompous at times - and that he’s known for using some dirty language on his forum and blog - there is very little bad to be said about his system.

My only real criticism is that I wish the course was longer!  His ebook is a breeze to read at 64 pages, so much so that I found myself wanting more.  However, he makes up for this with the amazing training he offers when you set up your free website.

The Verdict:

Strongly Recommend - A Must Buy

If the killer tactics, excellent support, elite forum, and free website and training weren’t enough, you simply can’t beat the price.

Based on my research, most people expect instant gratification, they don’t like to do work that produce only small results initially. That’s why most people will quit after few weeks or months.

Its NOT very difficult to learn the system, but it does require you to sit down, focus, and apply the methods that are laid out for you.

The 4TAM uses some sneaky tricks to get traffic to various different offers.  It all comes down to stealing traffic, sneaky spy tactics, and gaming the search engines.

Now, none of this is bad, but eventually people are going to wise up and figure out ways to counter-act these strategies.  And then, the 4TAM may be rendered worthless.

However, at the moment, the system works extremely well.

The Verdict:

Definitely Recommend.

Despite my reservations about the tactics being used, you can’t argue with results, and plenty of students are getting results using 4TAM.

Paying for traffic via online advertising is a good idea, but some people just can’t afford to shell out the money to do so.

In this case, you need to focus on getting free traffic by helping your site listed in the search engines and ranked for important keywords and terms.

Tip #2:  Create A Sitemap

Creating a webpage that lists all the pages on your site in a way that’s easy for the search engines to see everything you have to offer is a great way to get your pages ranked.  These pages are called Sitemaps.

Google has their own standard for sitemaps, so if you can create a google-compliant sitemap, you can be sure to optomize your chances that every single page on your site winds up being listed in the Google Search Engine.

Tip #3:  Optimize Your Pages For Specific Keywords

The more you can gear specific webpages on your site towards certain keyword terms, the more likely you’ll be able to get them to rank for those terms.

To do this, you must make your page title, meta description, meta keywords list, and body content geared towards the keyword you want to be ranked for.

The key here is not to load each one of these factors with the keyword you’re targeting, rather, to use related keywords and themes so as to prove to the search engines that your page is relevant to someone who’s searching for the keyword you are targeting.

Tip #4:  Submit Your Website To Directories

There are a great number of internet directories which try and catalogue websites out there, and submitting your website to be listed in as many of them as you can will be beneficial to getting free traffic.

Not all of these directories will send you traffic directly, but they will add weight and authority through backlinks to your website, which Google and Yahoo will definitely notice.

Tip #5:  Get Backlinks To Your Website

Search engines place a heavy importance on links directed at your website from other websites.  The more websites you can get linking back to you, the more important the search engines assume your website is.

If you can get other websites linking back to you using specific keywords in the link text, the search engines will assume your site is relevant for those keyword terms and rank you higher in their results listings for those terms.

You can do this by offering to exchange links with other website owners, submitting your site to link directories, participating in blog and forum discussions, and submitting articles to related websites.

Just remember that free traffic is all about being ranked in the search engine results listings.  The more pages you can get listed in the top 10 results, the more free traffic you’ll get.
